On June 17-18, 2014 the first defence of the master’s qualification works, speciality "Applied Mathematics" was held. Olena O. Strelnykova, Doctor of Engineering Sciences, leading researcher of A.N. Podgorny Institute for Mechanical Engineering Problems (Kharkiv), the head of State Examination Commission (SEC), expressed satisfaction with the quality of works and the variety of topics.

Sixteen graduating students got a high marks for the presentation of research papers. Five Master's qualification works were presented in English.

Six of Masters got the First Class Honors:

• Kateryna Lupiiova;
• Olha Kovalenko;
• Daryna Troshchenko;
• Dmytro Kostiukevych;
• Diana Chenchyk;
• Olha Fedoryshyn.

Seven Masters were recommended for admission to the post-graduate education by the SEC to continue scientific research. All the graduates exposed their best qualities to be worthy of Master's qualification.
